SAMARIES FOR ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITY

PROJECT TITLE: Empowering marginalised 40,265 people affected by disability to
improve their economic status in Dar es salaam city, Cost region, Lindi, Morogoro and
Mtwara regions of Tanzania.
PROJECT SUMMARY:
The project will reduce poverty and increase social inclusion for 22,200 poor and
marginalised people in disability affected households in Coast Region, Dar es salaam,
Lindi, Morogoro and Mtwara regions of Tanzania districts of Coast region, Tanzania. The
project will empower this target group to increase household income and demand rights
to employment, health services and other social and welfare services. The project will
improve basic disability care and leprosy services for an additional 18,000 people in the
general population.
