Who we are

1. Society for Economic Development of People with Disability – JUMAWAM (JUMUIYA YA UCHUMI NA MAENDELEO YA WALEMAVU) is a non-political Organization registered on the 19th of June 2020 under registration No. 21871. The head office is located at Uhuru road, on Mwalimu House, 3RD Floor, Left wing, Ilala Ward, Ilala City, Dar-Es-Salaam. The principal objectives of JUMAWAM are:-
*To provide services consisting of advocacy, information and support to people with disability.
*To assist and encourage people with disability to maximize their participation in decision-making, and effective self-advocacy.
*To promote community awareness about issues that affect people with disability, as well as their families, careers and supporters.
*To provide systems advocacy to relevant organizations and to state and federal governments.
*To develop links and work collaboratively with other organizations to achieve better outcomes for people with disability.
*To do all such other things as may be incidental to the attainment of such objects.
